Binghamton Flood of 2011

Standing beside all my friends in Binghamton, NY and her nearby townships. These are my people. And this is what Hurricane Irene left them to deal with. Love and prayers to you all.

  1. A girl who works for Fridays in Vestal (she came to PA to train us in our new computer system) told us her parents lost their home last week. :(

  2. Joanie, Vestal is also where mortgage payment ex-friend lives.

  4. Damn, girl! That sucks majorly. I feel so bad for those poor Yanks. Maybe it's our geography or on account of the South was built for this, but things never seem all that bad after a big whirly-twirly here in the Carolinas.

  5. Holy smokes! I am so sorry Alex. Mother Nature has kicked the East Coast's butt this year. Enough already.

    I miss seeing/reading you. I hope you're doing good.

  6. Oh gosh - for the two or three years before my retirement I worked in Broome County - and on my weekly commute from here to there (150 miles, give or take - I also kept an apt during the week in Endicott) I would see signs stating that I was entering a district which was being rehabbed from the LAST big flood. Nothing new under the sun, but of course if they were under the sun they wouldn't be in this mess.

And to Chef Green who feels that the Carolinas do better during storms I have two words: "Outer Banks"!
